Before the flood...
and after the flood!
My favorite place in Havasupai was flooded and everyone had to be evacuated by helicopter. I am sad but am really glad that I got to go there before it flooded. It is such a beautiful place; we were planning on returning next summer but I don't know if that will be possible now. : (

I heard about this and thought of you guys- hopefully it will eventually get back to how it used to be. I am, however, really glad you weren't there at the time.

SAD!!! I was totally planning on going with you next year! Grr. I'm sure it will be restored to BEAUTIFUL again soon...
Hi there, I am a very random person who just fell upon your blog in hopes of finding out the status of Havasupai, as I too am hoping to go there this summer (and it would be my first time, so I'd like it to be good!). I hope everyone is right and it will be back to beautiful by the summer. It is supposed to reopen in the spring at least. On a separate note, I love your playlist and had to listen to the whole thing before leaving this comment and will probably listen to it once again :-D
